Ex-Offenders Support Worker (Coventry)
Are you looking for a rewarding, challenging and worthwhile role? Fry Housing Trust are looking for a Support Worker to work full time within the Coventry area.
You will work with ex-offenders that have multiple support needs relating to issues such as alcohol and substance misuse and those with mental health problems.
On a day-to-day basis your role will be to support clients with a diverse range of needs including help with reading, writing and budgeting. You will also need to assist with housing management issues, health and safety checks and creating, managing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
We are looking for someone that can effectively plan and facilitate client engagement activities and give advice and guidance on benefits/welfare reform, including signposting clients to the correct external agencies for assistance.
You should be a flexible and adaptable individual with superb communication skills. A cheerful personality, a positive attitude and the ability to manage any situation which may arise is essential.
The ability to drive is desirable, although not essential as is experience of working with this client group previously.
